    Hi there,

I'd like to join some salsa classes in Bray (or nearby), would you know if there is a place where they do it?

    Thank you ;)

I think my wife did a 12 week course in a VEC near Cabinteely. If that's close enough, I can get the details for you. It was all female though. Not sure if that was by design or just how it worked out.

I was out and about in Kilcoole and saw a poster in the Centra shop so I surfed to here http://www.greystonesstudios.com/index.php/all-classes/

Hope this is of use. It's in Greystones theatre, if you don't know where it is ask back here and you'll get some helpful directions!

    Hi,

So, city centre is not so close but you won't find the same anywhere near.
Check out www.danzon.ie, there's classes most nights at various venues plus free 'taster classes' on wednesdays for beginners... and a voucher you can print for a free first lesson too which means there's no reason not to give it a go!

These are well established calsses and unlike the other one described above, it's almost 50/50 men and women, no parnter required and you end up dancing with everyone before the class is over.
They're ongoing drop-in classes mainly which is really convenient and means that you're never short of dancing. (some beginners classes have changed to set schedule byt that's just to be sure you cover the basics and then you'd move to a higher class which'd be drop-in)

The best part though is tuesday and thursday nights, it's followed by a club. All latin American music, mainly salsa but with a bit of bachata, merengue and cha cha cah thrown in for good measure, everyone dancing together or practising what was learnt at class... there's a bar there too, but unlike most venues, it's lined with water for people to cool off after hours of dancing! People also get to know eachother and there's often themed party nights on occassion... but there's plenty of quiter nights if you just want to go for a class and leave

Plus, added bonus... the club on Thursday night ends at 12.30 (Harrington St.) and just down the road at the bottom of Grafton St., Finnegan's private bus service has a nightlink to Bray at 1am, fantastic since Dublin Bus has abandoned us

Oh, and if you're wondering what's my connection with it all, I've just gone back last week after my finals and had the best night all year! Couldn't recommend it more.

Well, hope that's of some help,
    Best of Luck
    :-)
