Ryanair [Non EEA/EU passengers]

All Non EEA/EU passengers MUST present their online boarding pass and passport at the Visa/Document Check Desk (irrespective of their visa requirements) for validation BEFORE going through security or travel will be refused. The Visa/Document Check Desk closes strictly 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure.

Just saw this on the ryanair site. Has anybody had any experience with this yet? Specifically at Dublin or Gatwick. If it was 1 desk can imagine a huge queue and additional time wasted.

    cheers

They probably use the desk at the gate prior to the gate itself opening (hence the 40 minute stipulation). Not a biggie really, but still a bit of a pain for those affected given that the great advantage of online check-in was cutting out time spent at the airport.

Next charge from Ryanair probably surcharge for the checking of non-eu/EEA passports/visas.

Can't imagine it being too huge a queue. I'd imagine the majority of folks on Ryanair flights will be EU citizens.

Haven't noticed any queues recently on ryanair more than normal..?

True, the vast majority of passengers would be EU so maybe the queue would be minimal. It does say the desk is before security but no actual specifics are given . thanks guys

Saw a few people scrambling the last time , 21st May 09, I left Madrid with Ryanair, they were in the queue for boarding and lucky for them they that Ryanair staff were checking passports. They all had to rush off and get stamped. U.S citiizens and the like.

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

I would imagine it would be with the check in/bag drop desks. Just ask there and I am sure they will do it for you as it says BEFORE you go through.
