CV Advice Please Guys

    Hi folks,

    Looking for some advice.

Looking for Primary School teaching job over next few weeks but have a question about my CV.

Long story short, studied in a training college between 2003-06. It's a 3 year degree and I should have finished in 2006 but deferred 4 weeks teaching practic a couple of times due to the illness of my mother and then again in 2007 as I got the opportunity to work at something unrelated in England.

That didn't work out. So, finally finished my teaching practice in March/April just gone. Which is great, but now there is a gap of 3 years from when I should have finished my degree to when I actually finished it.

My question is, how do I represent this on my cv without going into too much detail? CV's should be concise, but I want to get across the message that deferrals were not all within my control.

Also, I for one of the years (2006-07, immediately after I finished in college), I worked as a temporary teacher so that should work in my favour I guess.

    Any suggestions most welcome,

    Thanks folks,

    K.
