It's been absolutely years since I saw the original with Terry O'Quinn. I'm still a little surprised that they remade this, it wasn't exactly one of the more iconic horrors of the 80's.

Have the original films here to watch but have to admit that I'm intrigued by the sequel. The cast is strong and if done right it could be a fantastic little film. Remaking lesser known films is something which could work as the fan boy reaction is going to be nowhere near the levels of outrage.

I was hoping for some sort of Godfather spin off.

To be honest, I don't like remakes. It's true, sometimes it works (Cape fever) but most of the times remakes are just bad movies. I saw Stepfather a couple of times and every single time I enjoyed the show. The story is good, O'Quinn as Jerry is great, so I don't see the point to tell the story again. I don't like trailer and I don't think I'll see this picture. I deaply belive that new picture will be an avarage movie.
