Fulcrum 7's are probably your only decent bet at that price..

Mavic Aksiums? around 200 lids on CRC.

There was a set going second hand in the ads forum a while ago - not sure if they're sold or not.

Campagnolo Khamsin are pretty solid and in your budget. My wife has them on her bike. No complaints so far.

thanks all for your help so far, as usual a very informative bunch.

any of you know anything about Campag vento's?

those fulcrum 7s look pretty good, they're front runner for now i think.

Slightly lighter than the Khamsin and reputedly very strong. That's a good price for them.

They're about €150 in Wheelworx. I have them. Grand wheels.

The vento's are good. Campys version of the Mavic Askium really. The Fulcrum 7's are similar (Fulcrum are also made by Campagnolo), I have the askiums on an old bike, tough, strong, roll nicely. But I'd put a campy or fulcrum wheel on a bike with a campy setup. No real reason, just aesthetics (and euro compliance - we have some people here who will be able to confirm if this is euro enough)
