hey, theres a masters programme in DIT that i want to do but i've missed the deadline by quite a bit. Will I bother trying to apply or will I have to wait until next year? Anyone else in a similar situation?
The deadlines for the courses in DIT are very early. Not really fair since your focusing on exams in april

I'd apply anyway... if there's spaces they'll let you in... at least that's what happened in the postgraduate course I was in last year. People were allowed in up until the first week!

Thanks for the advice. sounds positive. I know a couple of people in my class who got accepted into the course already.

I really think that by taking a year out, you'll be at an advantage. You will have the time to look at your chosen field in a new way, without the pressure of deadlines.

Yeah, thats true to but I've been trying really hard to get a job in the pharm industry and I've had a few interviews with no success...:(. The competition for any of the jobs is crazy. Far too many people applying.

So if I'm not going to get a job, there's no point in hanging around for a year. Might as well do a MSc.

    Thans for the advice!

I applied for a masters in January, (To a UK uni) I hadn't a hope of getting in as it was already full at that stage. DIT were very reasonable in comparison!

I did a masters there last year, and lots of people only applied late in the summer and got it. I'd definitely chance it :)

Good, thanks! I filled out the application form and posted it there now. Fingers crossed!

Rang the graduate admissions place and wa taking to some very strict and stern woman. Definitly hates her jobs. Anywho, she said they are still accepting applications, so hopefully I'm in with a chance!
