Dermot 'Finglas' an 'unemployed DJ' wins lotto and loses the ticket. You can't make this **** up! :D

He looks like a total douche. I hope he got hit by a semi on the way out of the shop

They have acknowledged that the money is his.
To cover their collective asses though, they are going to the proceedures to ensure they are covered legally I suspect.

After all, they have him on video (from the shop) with the ticket, also on video him dropping the ticket and then the statement from the owner that he picked it up.

He'll get his dosh, he will just have to wait.

He worked as a DJ (if it's the same well known bloke or his son) around the Drogheda area as well as their previous "Boyneside Radio" (now "LMFM") station.

I wonder what would happen if that bloke Tom went to Lotto HQ to claim the prize, who would they give it to?

Probably to the shop keeper. But he has already publicly said it wasn't his ticket, so I doubt he will.

I wonder is it tax that the NL are worried about. What happens if you give someone a winning Lotto ticket? Does the person then pay capital gains tax on that transfer? They might need to find out for certain who paid for the ticket.
