    Hi guys,

A quick question or two you guys might be able to help me out with.

I'm looking to get into trading, quantitative/algorithmic stuff, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many jobs going at the minute. Ive been reading a couple of books, some better than others, and would like to go ahead and set up an account with an online broker, preferably direct access. But before I do I'd like to test some algorithms and strategies on previous historical data. I can't seem to find a good (free) source online, other than daily opening/closing data.

Does anyone know where I can get access to historical data at shorter time frames, say 5/10 minutes?

Also do any online brokers offer this kind of information once you sign up with them?

Big thanks to anyone that can offer some insight!

Not sure where you would get the data or if there are many quants here.

You may get help at Paul Wilmotts website or his forum.

I posted and article about him recently in the Articles thread.
