    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this too and/or if anyone knows why is happens and how to treat it. When one of your eyelids gets bigger than the other for no apparant reason. I'm left looking wierd as my face is not in proportion. ok mabye its not that bad but it looks bad to me.
I think it goes away after some length of time and both are the same size again

    Thanks

Sometimes when you have a lazy eye it can lead to this effect. Check with your Doc.

would that be related to deteriorating eyesight no? Just coz i was prescribed glasses for distance a few months ago but never really wear them

Yes it would. Visit your GP/Optometrist.

Have you experienced any loss of taste lately? If so, it could be Ball's Palsy.

Mostly it's a condition that people fully recover from, but only your GP can diagnose and treat it.

It's always a good idea to visit your Doctor as a first stop for advice regarding medical matters. Starting a thread about it here won't usually help much and will delay your diagnosis.

Hey OP, Is it that one eyelid hangs lower over one eye than the other? If so, I have this too and it makes me self conscious in pics etc. Is worse when Im drunk and tired and I feel I look lopsided

Anyway, after an optician told me nothing can be done for me, I looked up some things on the net a while a go and came up with something called ptosis. Maybe you should look it up. My eyesight is not affected anyway by this but again its the aestethic side!!

thanks madbev. looks like thats what i have alrite but not as severe as in those pics. It seems to come and go and used to think it was to do with tiredness but wasnt tired this time around so dunno maybe its gettin worse! :(

Actually sounds like dry skin to me. I had both mine swell and fall over my eyes once. A steroidal cream sorted it out in a few days. Go to your GP, wear sunglasses.

Nobody can diagnose you over the internet, not only are none of us psychic doctors, we're not allowed give medical advice.

I didn't ask for a diagnosis - a simple answer such as madbev's was perfect. dunno what the need for a cheeky response was.

I'm not being cheeky, I'm explaining to you why everyone is telling you to go to the GP. You asked for advice, you got the only advice we can actually give you seeing as it's a medical problem - and then you're giving out about the advice!
