    Hi there,

I'm currently unemployed and claiming job seekers benefit, and am looking to start up a web-based company with a .ie domain. My question is if I go ahead and register with www.cro.ie and register a business name does this interfere with my unemployment benefits?

Tried ringing my local office but no answer as of yet, will keep trying.

    Thanks in advance

Nope, registering a business name means nothing really. Its not until you start trading and regsiter as self-employed or whatever, that you start making money. Now you must go and declare this to social welfare. Making your own money will affect your dole!:D

And fair play for getting up and doing something about being unemployed. If you need any help, ask away!
