Hey, might be buying a Peugeot 307. I was just wondering, a few months ago I bought a new car stereo for my current car. Is it a big job to put it into the Peugeot? I mean, I know I might have to get the trim around it or whatever, but in terms of the existing radio display unit being on top of the dash (link to picture below), and the radio control stick beside the steering wheel. Would I be best leave it?

Normally I wouldn't mind, but the radio I bought has ports for my mp3 player or USB key, and its also a phone handsfree kit in itself

    i'd stay well away

I think any messing with wiring in the 307 is totally frowned apon, they are very sensitive

    for example
i have a phone charger, and if i answer a call while driving (04 307) and charging the phone, sometimes the car starts jerking and even engine warning lights come on

Its just, the last thing I want to have to do is use one of those crappy FM transmitters which plug into the cigarette lighter in order to listen to my mp3 player. The handsfree on the radio comes in really handy as I drive a lot, plus, I only bought the radio less than 2 months ago.

Obviously I wouldn't dare install it myself. Anybody have any success stories?

Hi Penn, have the same problem as you. Have a USB radio and wondered could I fit it in an '02 307. Don't want to go back to CDs. Did you have any success, all opinions seem to be to leave things as they are. Tanx, Dave
