Guys and Gals, Dell XPS 1530 An insect decided to crawl inside my Laptop LCD and then proceeded to die on the screen. Not covered in my warranty so its going to cost. Anybody guess how much usually they cost for an LCD replacement? Ebay are selling them for ~€100, this a good price? Or should I try hand it into a repair…

Guys and Gals,

Dell XPS 1530

An insect decided to crawl inside my Laptop LCD and then proceeded to die on the screen.

Not covered in my warranty so its going to cost.

Anybody guess how much usually they cost for an LCD replacement?

Ebay are selling them for ~€100, this a good price?

Or should I try hand it into a repair shop or open the LCD meself?
Is this hard, could it make things worse?
