Southampton Boat Show

Hi, Has anyone ever been to the Southampton Boat show, held annually in September I believe? My other half is huge in to sailing & always looking up the boat section of buy & sell etc. Just wondering if the boat show has other events on also - like music, food stalls etc. - is it more of a festival or would one be bored…

Hi,

Has anyone ever been to the Southampton Boat show, held annually in September I believe?

My other half is huge in to sailing & always looking up the boat section of buy & sell etc.

Just wondering if the boat show has other events on also - like music, food stalls etc. - is it more of a festival or would one be bored silly if not interested in boats? What else is there to do anyway in Southampton?

Also, any recommendations for both accommodation in or near Southampton would be appreciated, and also what airlines fly to the sun from Southampton. The airport page won't load on my screen for some bizarre reason.
