Ryanair Hand Luggage

Heading off this weekend to France with Ryanair.
Just wondering, now that there is no luggage check-in
just bag drop-off, do they actually weigh your hand luggage and if so when?
If you just arrive at the gate via on-line check-in, do the boarding staff
ever weigh your hand luggage? I don't think I've ever actually seen
weighing scales at the departure gates!
Is there anybody who's traveled with them recently who can clarify?
    Thanks
    Dermot

Still no weighing for domestic flights anyway, not too sure about when heading outside Ireland, but the last time I flew with them they didn't?

    Hope this helps!

I flew with Ryan Air a fortnight ago from Stockholm.
There will be Ryan Air staff at the gate as you board the plane.

If a bag looks too big or you look like you're struggling with a heavy bag they could easily check it. The boarding staff had luggage scales and the metal frames that your bag must fit inside nearby.
Although they weren't checking every bag.

They don't weigh and normally don't even bother checking the size of hand baggage as long as it's not ridiculously large. In saying that, the allowance is 10kg and you're unlikely to have that much in a small bag.

+1 for what CreepingDeath said. Ive seen it done at the boarding gate area. But, basically dont take the p*ss, if you have a bag visibly larger than the dimensions allowed be prepared to be checked before you board.

Unless you often carry bricks of lead around with you then you are not going to be going over the weight limit in a reasonably sized carry on bag. Take the piss with their luggage limits though and expect them to pull you up on it and charge you for the pleasure.

I checked in online flying to the UK and my bag was just over the limit, no-one even looked at it to be honest. Unless you're clearly struggling I'd say you'll be fine.

Ryanair are very strict in France and have been for a long time. In the small regional airports they weigh all bags.
