The second major of the year starts thursday with the US Open at Bethpage Black. Tiger Woods will be trying to join Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus by claiming a record fourth US Open title. To coincide with this, the second 'virtual' major of the year tees off too. The rules are the same as the 'virtual' Masters. where JerryHandbag will have the opportunity add the second leg of the virtual Slam.

You get 4 picks as follows:

1. Top 5 - One pick from the top five in the official world golf rankings(Woods, Mickelson, Casey, Garcia, Ogilvy).
2. European - One pick from the European entrants for the tournament(not in the world top 5)
3. American - One pick from the American entrants for the tournament(not in the world top 5)
4. Rest of the World - One pick from the non-American and non-European entrants(again not in the world top 5)

As before, the winner will have the best aggrogate score for their 4 players over the four rounds. As scoring should be high, players missing the cut will be given rounds of 82 for saturday and sunday. Your entrees need to be in by 11am Thursday. It will be up to everyone to make sure their picks are valid.

They are the general rules. I will try to post updates after each round. The Champ will be posted Monday morning(or possibly monday evening in the event of a play-off)

Just a suggestion, but i think ,given the course and the fact that the USGA are setting it up, that 82 is too low a score for a player who misses the weekend.
