Telecaster - Resonating truss rod!

I have an American Telecaster that I got in May 2008. It was professionally set up in Winter of the same year and has been great until now...

The humid weather has obviously brought about some changes in the neck, and I find when I play it for an hour or so the truss rod resonates inside the neck!

I searched online for this issue and found a few links to other forums where people said this problem is either a slightly slack truss rod, or the metal keeper on the bi-flex truss rod located at around the 6th fret vibrating.

The solution? Tighten the truss rod screw by 1/8 of a turn. Does anyone have any experience of this? If it's something I can fix than I will.
