Hi all, does anyone know is it possible to get house insurance with a record. Made a v. stupid mistake 2 years ago and am on three year suspended sentence. It seems like no insurance companies out there are willing to insure people with a conviction. Would appreciate any kind of advice on this so thanks for your time.

Your best bet will be to talk to a number of brokers and see if one of them can arrange it for you. There are probably a few companies out there who specialise in taking on these risks in the same why that some are willing to take drink drivers. Brokers are probably the most likely to know how to set it up. Don't expect it to be cheap for the first few years though...

You should be fine after another year iirc.

Like the above poster said, give brokers a ring... maybe tell them what the suspended sentence is for and they will ring the insurance companies and ask if they will accept you under the circumstances.

Actually... if you want... PM me and I'll find out for you... I work for an insurance broker.

Remember folks, while Adrieanne might eb reasonably well known around here, be careful about giving out personal information to people (who might not be who they claim to be) over the internet.
