For Sale: Washing Machine

Finally. A washing machine capable of cleaning my 3 wolf moon t-shirt.
I think it would be good to paint it matt black and put steel spikes all over it and draw demons on the front, however I have added an image of another possible customization option for people who like horses.

On heavy duty spin cycle it sort of sounds a bit like the tortured howls of 1000 undead writhing in the sulphury pits of hell mixed with a train with carriages full of scrap iron sliding down the road with no wheels, on fire, into a bell factory.

That is awesome. I'm laughing my ass off here. Are people really going to pay $2,500 for it?

I'll be sending that one around work tomorrow! :)

So if you make up a good enough story you can sell any old junk for ridiculous prices online? Hmmm....

Pretty much. Mark my words though, in 50 years or so, Christie's will be auctioning off some old guy's collection of internet memorabilia. The 7 legged spider, this washing machine, a lock of Boxxy's hair, the lime from limecat encased in Lucite etc.

I can't believe he's responded to all the comments, and they're mostly funny too.

    Q. Hi...I have a dryer that would be a good mate for your washer.

    A. I have some drinking glasses which are actually old nutella jars.

Once while washing a load of towells it got a bit out of balance and it got so out of control for a minute that I swear I actually saw a porthole to another dimension open above it just for a second, there were dinosaurs on the otherside and they looked scared too, it almost sucked me in but I held onto for my life to the deepfreeze. It sucked my shoes and pants off though and it got the iron as well which pissed me off because it was quite a good one. Luckily it sucked it's own power cord out of the wall and stopped before the whole house went in.
I drew a picture of the dinosaurs i saw incase people didn't believe me, they are partly red because my green felt ran out half way through.

This sounds like my type of washing machine

Q: Why are you even doing the washing? Don't you have a wife?
A: Well I DID...I didn't bring that up as I didn't want to put buyers off. I'm afraid it took her too. It's ok though at least she still has the iron.

    :pac:

Your shirt must be defective. When they aren't staring down women and given them orgasm-inducing gazes as I pass, my 3 wolves bark in the face of dirt, grime and body odor.

    It shouldn't need cleaning.

This has just gotten bigger. He now has some art work that will be auctioned off. All the money is going to charity.

    This has really taken off.

There is also a Facebook event for the live auction.

That is just awesome. He's making good money for the charities. If I wasn't flat broke because the dentist bled me dry I would buy a t-shirt. This whole thing just makes me smile and that has to be a good thing to bring in to the world!

oh man, i'd assumed that he had heaps of them on the go, and they were like $20 a go, and he'd sold enough to make $500ish...

turns out... people are bidding $500 for one.

    ... nevermind.

that's over 75% of my life savings.

The best thing is we have got him to hold the live auction in my bar :D
It will screened on my plasma tvs and we have TVNZ a few radio stations and a comedian coming down...

    Its gonna be mad.
He is plans on filling the washing machine with dry ice so it has that scary feel to it ... fricken awesome!!!!

A noisy 25-year-old washing machine with a reserve of $1 has sold for more than $5000 on the auction website TradeMe.

Appliance Connexion confirmed the 100% chain of stores bought the scary washing machine for $5160 and might take it on a national tour.

The mid-1980s Kelvinator, which still washes clothes well, was described by its seller Mike Whittaker as once shaking so violently that he saw a porthole to another dimension open above it.

Dinosaurs peered back from the other dimension, he said.

The TradeMe page received more than 800,000 views and attracted a lot of media interest.

Mr Whittaker has set up a website www.scarywashingmachine.com and is now selling scary washing machine T-shirts.

The washing machine is now going on tour!
