Kickboxing in Lucan?

I've been looking at a lot of stuff on here (and making too many topics) trying to decide which MA to take up, and it looks like kickboxing is being touted as the most practical option, and one of the best for fitness.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a club in Lucan or Palmerstown, and what the beginner situation is there, or the cost associated.

I've been looking at Muay Thai too, and was wondering how that compares.

Also, if anyone can suggest an alternative that's as good for fitness, I'd be happy to hear it.

    Thanks

Here's a link to Roy Baker's kickboxing club's in your area.

    For fitness, kickboxing is superb.

I'm not sure about Muay Thai in your area, but IMO there is no comparision between even a half arsed Muay Thai club and even the best Bushido.ie has to offer.

Find a good Muay Thai club and you've struck gold.

Thanks. I think there's a Muay Thai club on the Long Mile Road, which is close to me. Just once it's as good for fitness, and can be used effectively for self-defence

OK, so far as I know thats John Kavanagh's place STRAIGHT BLAST GYM, in which case you've hit the jack pot.

The place I was looking at is called Chupasart, and said it is hosted within the SBG. The guy's called Paddy Clint, or so the site says...

Just trying to keep my options open, and was wondering if anyone knew any details about a kickboxing club in Lucan. Can't seem to find any info on bushido.ie

Bushido is a style of kickboxing popular in Ireland but its not AKAI's website, kickboxing.ie is and should have the info you need on it.
