So starting a new regime, finishing up the Leaving Cert on Monday and well in the last few months I've become unfitter (is that a word!?) both cardio wise and weight wise, although I've put on a good stone up to 11 stone 5 now but it's been mostly not good weight.:D

My hope is to tone up, while going back to my good cardio fitness.

Anyway I've came up with a new routine(below). My diet is in decent shape I think:

Brekkie - 2 weetabix, slice of brown bread, pint of milk, vitamin tablet
Lunch - Depends, usually chicken sambos with a pint of water
Dinner - Usually chicken, steak, or pork with 4 or 5 veg with a litre of milk

Snacks (usually have 2 or 3 a day) - Banana, Apple, Almonds, Pears, Grapes.

Then usually have a small "treat" 3 hours before bed with 2 pints of water.

Then planning on having a protein shake which is another 20g of protein a day.

    Weight - 11 stone 5
    Height - 5 foot 9

I don't see how you're going to bulk up with that sort of weights routine.

You can't "tone" up, you can slim down!

If you mean what most people mean by tone up, you needd to lose body fat for the muscles to show and stuff to firm up.

Anyway, whats the story with legs spread/legs open squats. I've never heard of squatting with legs closed.

We always called it the ski squat, not that I ever do it.
