    Hi All

We have small kids and are taking the ferry in July over to Brittany to a carnac Keycamp. Has anyone done this befoe? We have heard its a nice place but is there things we should see/avoid. Kids are 5 and 1.5 so a handfull but im sure here will be many families will be in same position. First family holiday so i'd like it to go well.

Really nice place, you could go to Vannes while you are there, about an hour away, apart from that you could easily spend a week just relaxing in the campsite or around the local area

Great thanks for that, and a week sitting and relaxing sounds superb. Is there any good castles around there? Its probably too far for a jaunt to the Normandy beaches?

Carnac is lovely and the kids will have plenty to occupy them. Concarneau and Benodet are also very nice and about an hour and a half away. Brittany is lreally beautiful and the kids will love the crepes!

Ah yea thanks, I'm sure they'll love it. Looking forward to it myself now. One worry though young fella 1.5 has Dairy and Egg Allergies, he took into convultions abut 7 mths ago but hasn't since. I presume theres easy access to medical help out there but is there anything I should know? I know its a tough question might ask it n another tread..

Ensure your travel insurance is adequate and also get a European Health Insurance Card like the old E111 form at www.ehic.ie Hospitals in France are of a very high standard and the campsite should have a list of medical contacts but it's no harm to google it yourself, print it off and bring it with you. If you've got a sat nav enter the locations into the memory just in case you need to get there quickly. If your son is on medication bring it with you and also talk to your GP before you go - he/she will have the best advice. Can't think of anything else for now - I have 4 kids of my own and like to be well prepared for all eventualities on holidays!
