Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks. Are you sure about this ? I was looking at http://yahoo.eurosport.com/tvschedule_clng0.shtml and it isn't listed.

    I'm hoping I'm wrong

Thanks. Are you sure about this?

Yep. And the guy presenting the TdF mentioned that the remaining GL meets are on British Eurosport.

    :)

Great. You are right, I think Setanta had the rights but they have been sold onto Eurosport now. Looking forward to an evening of athletics now

Can't people here organise a youtube channel with high quality videos. Since Irish athletics won't been showed on tv.

We are hoping to sort this out http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055619946 but I've been away and ecoli has been working, so hopefully they'll be up tomorrow. I'm actually quite looking forward to covering the nationals but I'll have to sort my voice out, I keep putting my phone voice on and it's so obvious :D

The ad alone on BBC is great, when I see it I want to punch walls with excitement.

Might even have to miss my Friday pint. Bolt running both days, Farah going for Dave Moorcroft's 5000m British record, several Brits still looking for WC qualifying marks :)

Will the national championships be on this year on RTE?

Disgrace RTE are not showing the World Championships, RTE are a disgrace, the choose to put on CSI repeats instead of showing Bohemians last week, and there will be more CSI repeats instead of the world championships, for fans of CSI I am pretty sure you can get your fix of CSI Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, London, Cape Town, Shanghai, and whatever other places they have for that banal dross.

They've a highlights package showing on Monday. Better than nothing.

I was told I couldn't cover it in field in case I get in RTE and sportsfiles way, so will have to make do with the stands.
In fairness though I can understand AAIs position on this but surely I'm a proven professional :D

If i get my hands on my cam for weekend we will have officially become superior to RTEs coverage with our multi camera crew on hand:D

RTE are only showing highlights meaning straight finals right? If so thats not so fun.

Come on, you can't keep complaining about the RTE coverage. There would be nowhere near enough interest to do anything more than a highlights package. It's like the other poster complaining that a Boh's match wasn't on TV - again where is the interest in that?!

There's forever people moaning that RTE don't show athletics, then when they do, we moan that it's not enough! It's like moaning that we don't get enough sun. Then when it is sunny, moaning that it's too hot!

Interesting to see how Ryan Hall goes.

This is on BBC1 and BBCinteractive on Saturday, at 1pm. Bekele, Eliud Kipchoge and Gebremariam are among the men's field.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 87 ✭✭deadlybuzz

Fionnuala Britton was listed to run, but looks like will be DNS.
Ava Hutchinson still listed to run.

I didn't spot any Irish men in the short and long course start-lists, but may stand corrected.

Great finish by Stephenson in the short course, took a big scalp in Farah.

Should be interesting to see Lebid tackling the Africans on the snow and ice, familiar enough surface for him, one would think...

So are they using spikes on that surface, or have they got cheese graters and screws on their soles? :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 87 ✭✭deadlybuzz

Lebid looks like a guy who forgot to pack his cheese graters today... steadily slipping down the field.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 87 ✭✭deadlybuzz

    9km result:

    1 Ebuya (Ken)
    2 Mbishei (Ken)
    3 Kipchoge (Ken)
    4 Bekele (Eth)

6 Lebid (Ukr) .. a long way back

yep... Bekele back in 4th. A rare sight indeed.

Fantastic run to be only 2 and a half minutes behind runners who would run around 27 minutes dead or faster for 10K in the Summer.

Does anyone know if the Sparkassen-Cup in Stuttgart is on tv or online today?

If anyone has German could they check to see if there's anything on the site about it http://www.sparkassen-cup.de Some meets have live coverage on their sites but I can't understand the German.

Hi, I can't find any reference to official online broacast, but it can be viewed online via several other sites (can't vouch for legality of those).

It's being broadcast on Eurosport Germany, but not Eurosport UK&Ireland.

I can just imagine it now...... in other sporting news ....... David Gillick has just won world indoor gold medal in a NR ....and then they show him crossing the line...... because there running out of time they cant show the hole race.......and thats it then...........:mad::mad:
