Picked one of these up recently when I was over in blighty doing the Matamp thing.
Im not really a big fan of modelling TBH, being a valve snob through & through, but for any of ye with kids one of these or something similar could be you saviour! I now get to play for a wee while every night without disturbing anyone, and with a good set of headphones they sound pretty good, especially the clean/lower gain sounds . I tried it quickly with the Matamp and wasn't impressed but I reckon I didn't spend enough time trying it out. I'll give it a go again sometime.
Anyway, for those with kids, or indeed those in an appartment or flat that cant play without annoying someone - go get one, they're pretty cool!

    They are very handy

I have an XT Live and I gig with it all the time just because I cant handle having to lug an amp aswell as the PA etc (one man band). Essentially you are playing to pub punters who cant really tell any diff between a good valve sound and a modelled sound so handy out.

Also my neighbour has 3 small kids and you can hear everything from next door so out of respect for her I only hook up the amp when she is out, but as I have to play every day lest I go mad, the headphone out on the pod is just a gift.

Anyone with a Pod, but who feels their house is too quiet, is welcome to my two year old. ;)

The other thing I love about the Pocket Pod is the clip it on to you and go roaming about the house playing. Other good stuff is the line in on it from an mp3 player or your computer, dead handy for the Guitar mag lessons and Interweb lessons too. :D Well useful piece of kit for €100.

I couldn't agree more, i have a bedroom the size of a shoebox, i use my pocket pod in conjunction with some pc speakers and poorly jam along to Jeff Beck. For the price and the sound quality it's pretty hard to beat.
