I dont listen to this myself, and maybe I've picked it up wrong, but it seems a very strange to me that a monetary stake size is given as part of the tip.

(Unless OP has just put in what he/she is using....)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭Lushed1

John duggan starts of with a bankroll of €1000 at the start of each year and just plays with this cash. In 2008 he turned his initial bankroll of €1000 into €2070.

He also does charity bets. He was given €500 from paddy power for the cheltenham festival and he also turned a profit on that too.

It's all a bit of fun really. I'm just posting his tips on here to keep track and see how he's getting on

no probs. yeah i'm thinking about doing it myself. john must seem quite confident in this horse cos he placed a slightly larger than usual 50 bucks on it. sweet return on this if it did win :)

I was more than impressed with his US Open tips...even though he had the overall winner as 1st day leader he still tipped him in a VERY difficult tournament

Just wondering was it 50 each way he quoted?

Going each way at odds of 4/1 would be pretty pointless. If it was to come second or third you'd still be down 50 quid.

It's €50 for the straight win

So the kind folk at paddypower gave me some free credit for playing poker as I hadnt used them in ages, and the kinder folk on PP poker kept losing to me so built up some free credit :D

Out of my free money I've done a yankee for today including Rip Van Winkle(5/1, its now drifting at 11/2), also at sandown I've gone for Ialysos(4/1) in the 2.05, Strawberrydaiquiri (11/8) in 3.45 and Terry Jenkins (8/15) in the darts tonight.

I've no real notion about horse racing so have I picked a double of 3 legged donkeys? :D

Was just thinking that my biggest ever bet (the only 4 figure bet I've had the balls to do) was ew at 4/1 in this very race.
Fantastic Light when he was 2nd to Gallileo in a renewal which had 3 valid contestents and a load of pacemakers.

Lost money betting against Sea the Stars too eh ?.

This is a message board. I can have my opinions if i want. And anyone who bets against who i consider the best horse about at the moment is going to lose. Live with it.

sorry dude misread that. probably too much coffee. yeah had recorded the last few games of the Roddick game but of course it ran out with score at 14-14. Fed won but from what i saw of it it didnt seem as good as last years final.

listening to john duggan this morning and apparently he tipped a lad in the golf last week at i think 25-1 and he won it.

His tips this week are dublin to beat limerick in the hurling at evens.
Jason bay to win the canadian open at 55-1.

I think ill be having a small bet on him as he generally seems to be spot on with his golf predictions.

Yeah that looks a good bet dublin at evens but trying doubling it with Galway to beat Waterford who looked a bit of a spent force in the Munster final. That said Waterford have that experience of being in Croke Park for that last couples of years. Should be a great double header in any case.

Totally agree with that despite the fact galway are only about 1-3 i think i'll be backing galway and dublin in the double.

He tipped Bojan Pelt to win a tournament in America last weekend when the Open was on. He had €20 e/w at 50/1

Alot of off-topic nonsence in here - if we could keep to just J.D'S tips from now on & discuss that we wouldn't be missing 50/1 winners
