Hi Guys, I've been searching round the net for a while now for somewhere to pick up a projector.
Haven't really found anywhere that does good deals, basically everywhere seems to sell them for RRP
The two projectors I was looking at was the Panasonic PT-AE3000 and the Epson 7500UB.
But to be honest I'm totally open to suggestion.
I've been going by the site projector central for advice.

Have you any experience with Home Theatre Projectors.

Are you starting from scratch or have you a projector at the mo.

Both projectors are good and are located at the top end of mid range Home Theatre projectors making them expensive for this technology compared to entry level 1080p projectors.

It all comes down to what your expectations are for a projector.

I had a loan of my mates Panasonic ax100 a few years back that was a cool proj. Hence staying with Panasonic.
Don't have one at the mo though.
They don't seem to have released any updates for that projector in a while so i decided to have a look with their latest release since i figured it'd have the best features etc...
Basically looking for something around the 1000e mark or slightly above it.
    Expectations?
Much better than that Panasonic ax100!

The specs of the ax100 are
    NSI lumens: 2000
    Contrast: 6000:1
    Video Compatibility: HDTV 1080p/60, 1080p/50, 1080p/24, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p. NTSC/PAL/SECAM.
Connection Panel: HDMI input, VGA input, YPbPr input, S-Video input, composite input.
So it'd have to be better than that anyway.

The 3000 is way way better than the ax100 so that's like the dream machine.

Sony recently replaced the highly regarded vpl-hw10 with the vpl-hw15 (gb£1920). there are some vw10's around being discounted.

Ebay user zada_uk (also has a web-shop) had the hw10 on for £1999 or nearest offer. The don't take offers from outside the uk so I sent them a message: would you do it for £1600 including delivery to ireland? I got a message back saying they would take the offer. I haven't taken them up on it, but you could offer less!

If you buy a vpl-hw15 before 10 Jan you can get a spare lamp (worth around €300) - see www.freelampoffer.com/sony
