Has anyone tried Mystery Shopping? I'm tempted to apply and I was just wondering if anyone here has experience with it? Im especially looking for businesses in Dublin that hire mystery shoppers.

I did it for a while and I loved it but it's is not a regular wage. It would be a marketing firm rather than the shops that you would work for. Google search and you will find loads of firms to sign up with but the amount of work is never guaranteed.
    try:

As mentioned google promotional marketing companies. In the past they advertised on nixers.ie and similar sites.

Jobs.ie tend to have a few of them up every now and then. Good luck with it.

If you do get it, don't do what the guy in my store did before Christmas and wander suspiciously around the place, before pulling out a sheet of A4 paper in full view of the counter staff with his list of instructions and a bold heading reading "MYSTERY SHOP, ******* LTD, DEC" :D

i used to do a good bit of mystery shopping and some companies were better than others to deal with. you'll need to sign up for more than one agency and be open to doing last minute visits, weekend work etc. that'll get you more work in the long run as they'll see they can rely on you.

one thing i will advise you to do though, is ask them about the length of the surveys you'll be filling out. one company i worked for used to pay very well for each visit and the surveys only took a few minutes to fill in. another one had really awkwardly worded questions and they took over an hour and a half to finish - all for €10. if you like gimme a PM and i'll give you contact details for the ones i worked for.

Its basically where you pose as a normal shopper but then write a report adn return to your company, which will then give it to the shop, its a way of evulating the company.

You get paid for your time and your expenses sometimes also
