This may be a stab in the Dark - but was wondering if anyone knew where i might get my hands on one of these. Has been out a good few years, so cant be got new to my knowledge. Need it as a replacement, as it has worked well for me in the past.

There are new ones for sale on Ebay but you'll have to pay postage from the US. Also I thinks some of this model are illegal, not sure which ones.

The HS9 is legal and conforming. There were 2 versions of the 414 and 454 (same club bigger head). One was the high COR version and was banned, the normal version is still legal as far as I know but im open to correction on that. If I was you I would at least try a HS9 if you can. It looks and sets up like the 414 and to me at least (9 handicap) felt very similar.

Thanks for the replies again - great link too.

Where is the best place to "try before you buy" - or is it possible. If not, then just borrow from someone who has the club you are interested in?

Depends on your location, but theres loads of golf shops that have simulators now and they will let you try the club before you buy make a decision.
