    Hello

    If someone has the mumps and develops orchitis (viral orchitis?) will antibiotics make a difference, or does the fact that it is "viral" orchitis mean they will do nothing?

    Thanks

    I know you haven't explicitly said that this is a medical advice question....but if it is....anyone with mumps orchitis who wants to keep their balls working would be mental not to go to a doctor and do exactly what they're told. If they're not happy they should go to another doc.

    Taking advice from people with no medical qualifications on the net is the last thing I'd be doing if my balls were on the chopping block :D

    Ah yeah, there have been plenty of doctors visits and antibiotics are being taken, but I'm just curious if viral orchitis (which I believe is the mumps one, rather than bacterial orchitis) can actually be treated with antibiotics, or if it's just a precaution.

    Mumps = Virus

    Antibiotics for bacteria

    Antivirals for viral infections

    Antifungals for fungal infections

    Am sure you get the gist.
