I am supposed to get it once a week. Yes, I should have noticed by now but I was managing fine and then I am waiting for it this week and realise I haven't received it since 14/5/09. Anyone else in this situation? I am really worried. I will ring the Dept. of Social and Family Affairs at 9am. Are they the right people to ring? Thanks for any help.

Yes, the social welfare office are the ones that deal with this payment (according to citizensinformation.ie)

However, social welfare office phones around the country have been ringing out so you might need to visit in person I'm afraid :(

if you in area with a big welfare office there will be a hatch dedicated to lone parent allowance. visit them as soon a apossible and they will help you out.

I am in limerick and the lady the works on that hatch is extrememly helpful.

Sounds like you didn't return your annual review form - a form that asks if you have started working, copies of payslips, details of maintenance etc. If this form hasn't been received, your payment will be automatically suspended. If you think this may be the case, you would be better off calling into your local welfare office in person, and if you are working bringing in a copy of a recent payslip. Your payments should then be re-instated.
