Im hoping to get some 600 film for the weekend and it seems that Boots in the Jervis center still stocks it which is great.

However I was wondering can anyone give me more info on what I am to do once they run out? As in what other company makes instant film? I know Fuji do but I hear they dont make a 600 film equivalent?

Can someone point me in the direction of a website that details current instant films that are available (non polaroid)

( also I am aware of the impossible project, but that is not much use.... yet!)

Although, I heard a while back some new company is making it since Polaroid stopped

    Are you talking about polaroid?

There are two scientist who are buying one of the old polaroid factories and starting to make them again, but at the moment there are a good few shops in Ireland that still do them, they are a bit expensive though.

Make sure you check the date on whatever ones you are buying though as the will be unusable after a certain amount of time :)

Yeah the factory you are talking about is the "impossible project" I mentioned in my post.

What I am asking about is non polaroid instant film. Such as the Fuji produced instant film.

    There is some info here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant_camera#Types_of_non-Polaroid_instant_cameras

However I want detailed information on options available to me once all the polaroid film is gone at the end of this year

Also I specifically want one as similar as possible to the polaroid 600 film in shape and size. Does anyone know which ones are like that?

There isn't one unfortunately. The fuji films that are compatible with the polaroid stuff are all the peel apart films. If you want to switch camers altogether though fuji do a similar product (just not compatible with 600) called instax. The film is reputed to be quite good, the cameras not so much.

I feel your pain, I have an SX-70 sitting in my wardrobe in need of film ...
