Are you looking for pics of it or the camo itself, because if you're looking for the camo itself its illegal for people who are not members of the PDF or RDF to own or have it in there possession

It is illegal to wear or have in you possession Irish DPM if you are not a member of the PDF or RDF and if you are a member it is illegal to wear the uniform if you are not on duty

Plenty of pics on the internet, try www.rdf.ie.

And Craigsy's point stands, its against the law for you to be wear Irish Army DPM unless you're a member, and then only on duty or other approved circumstances.

Ideally you should dispose of it by returning it to the Defence Forces. If you would like to do this (and remember you probably should as it is Government Property) then I'm sure that if you would be kind enough to tell us of your rough location or a convenient meeting place, one of the members here who serve with PDF or RDF can meet up with you and return the gear to stores to be processed correctly. I think I know a site with DPM images on it, digital ones, I will have a look and post here if I can locate it. hth.

Why in the name of God would anyone want to do that?.

Personally I couldn't give a rats ass what anyone does with their uniform, and anyway the obligation is on a units Q staff to have items of kit returned.

OP, if you wish I can take photos of my unifom and post the patterns here, but it'll be tomorrow and not this evening.

One word of advice, not regarding the legalities (or not) of being in poccession of a uniform (which ideally you shouldn't be) DON'T go taking photos of soldiers on duty (ie, cash in transit escorts etc - this can & often WILL put you on someone's radar).

Let me know about the pattern and I'll post it up here tomorrow.

You'd always walk in my shadow, so I couldn't give a fuck where you serve.

    impressive set of priorities boys.

don't worry about having a reserve full of untrained wheezing fat blokes, or medics who think they don't have to carry personal weapons - or sending blokes to the desert in temporate DPM and without helicopter support, you just concentrate on the important stuff like making sure that builders and crusties don't wear Irish DPM and that its always got the right creases.

coz, well, you wouldn't want to be a laughing stock...

tbh, given the current state of it, i wasn't even sure the Irish Army could do one thing at a time, let alone several....

imagine concentrating on the important stuff (you know, being an actual Army with helicopters, artillery, DPM that looks a little bit like the territory you're working in, and having even the most basic standards of fitness for your reserve forces) and when you've got that straight, worrying about banal crap?

Lads OS119 has his priorities straight.

One other thing, this forum isn't to debate the legalities of the DFR's and Q ininstructions in regards anything in the Irish Defence Forces (PDF & RDF inclusive) so drop it for fvck sake.
