I think I'm OK for it. I got a C in the Mocks, which I didn't get at all. I thought I did really well but my teacher did correct it then, and she's a b***h. She's a coeliac, she has like everything wrong with her you could possible think of and she never stops talking about herself.

Overall, I hope I do good. I have to say, I made one hell of a soup and fruit salad in the cookery. :D

i didn't have a clue.! i just said that it tells us that our food has been processed??
say i pulled a B.! Went well although i found the short questions quite difficult and question 1 was tiny bit offputing wit the layout of the question and the way we didn't get a recipe to evaluate.!

Ha, I was so prepared for evaluating ingredients and then...nothing. Some of the short questions were a bit obscure and 'give 4 examples of credit purchasing' could have meant anything, doesn't matter though because I never have to do home ec again!

i said higher purchase, credit card, buying goods on credit and something else?? i just made up anything?

I thought it was a good exam!
I got a B in the mocks and was hoping for the A so even tough it was the last exam i stayed until the end, wrote every last second of it!
    I had something like 18 pages:S
I want to do professional cookery in Athlone so hopefully....

I said a car, a house and all that, as in things you would buy on credit but yours sounds more right tbh. Such a stupid question anyway.

Hi again, I am a Home Ec teacher and usally the State Examinations Comission put the paper up on their website 2 hours after the exam but they haven't for JC HE. Just wondering was there a letter in the consumer studies question? Also what was the textiles question like? Was question 1 the standard food label and discuss the nutritive value?

    Hi
I love home ec but thought the paper was different this year. I really hope I did well.

    Question 1 was meat.
Instead of nutritional value it was the composition of meat.
    It asked about tenderising etc.

Question 2 this was all about food preservation/ (btw the symbol was the irradtion symbol meaning gama rays had been passed through it to deactivate any microorganinsms)

    Question 3
    Circulatory system
    label heart
    difference between veins and valves
    coronary heart diesease

    Question 4.
    Consumer
Letter came up but gave no details with it except a mobile phone was broken I thought was very poor.
    consumer rights etc

    Question 5.
    Technology in the home

    Question 6
Was textiles was asking the properties etc for curtains/carpet I think.

    Will check and post back
    Hope this helps.

The Short questions were very vague and I wasnt sure what they were actually looking for but I tried my best. I thought the long questions went pretty well so I think Im ok. I got 97 in the mock and did a quilt and a fairly good practical so Im hoping for a high grade :)

Yellowbelly, thank you very much, it seems that it was as predicted. I hope you all did very well, thanks again
