This is vile to read so please don't read it if you are in anyway squmish

    http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-national/20090607/US.Pregnant.Woman.Killed/

Now the point of my question is that in all other aspects she was a normal person but just seem to have acted out of impulse and, as you can see in the article, she's not the first to do it. There is also the point of if the child was alive or not during her actions bt no one can say for definite which should also be considered so what way do you think she should be treated (within the legal system)?

    Choices:

    !. Death sentence
    2. Life in prison
    3. Mental institute (But bare in mind there seems to have been no previous indication of mental problems)
    4. Mental institute but studied (that sounds lifeless I know but should we try to find out why someone to just changes from normal to a murderer in a matter of days?)
    5. Open choice, give your own if none of mine apply to what you think should happen.

    Death, no question about it.
Preferably if they could stab her & leave her to bleed to death.

An indefinate sentence in a secure mental institution. I think death would be an easy way out for this woman.

I would say death too, but she has two children under 10. Tough call.

    Life should mean life.
    Hanging's too good for them
A spell in the army would sort them out
    THEY KEEP TO THEIR OWN

seen a doc about this on Discovery or Nat Geo, it's not that uncommon, can't think of the name of the condition.

I'd give her a baby. That's what she wanted anyway isn't it?

Put her in a small cell with a very small window and only let her out for 1 hour a day. All that should be in the cell is a bed and a toilet.... but wait that is probably against her human rights

    Two year suspended sentence.

She's probably lovely. Ye're all so quick to judge.

Worst punishment suggested so far anyway.

Judging by her picture id have that cell window overlooking a fast food outlet but all she would ever be fed would be salad.

My initial opinion was death sentence, when I read it I was sickened but I have the advantage of a day to calm down and now, after I've read it from a less angry position, I think that if anything it should be found out why she just changed like that. Mental institute and just studied is what I think now. I mean think about it, if she dies we learn nothing she gets off (because, like it or not, after death there is no punishment) but if she's kept alive and forced to face what she did she'll eventually have to face why she did it and I'd say that realisation would be worst than death.

They're not, no more than she was thinking about either the woman or the babies human rights. I mean who could be so re-DICK-ulous to think that if a person completely disregards another persons right to life and commits murder, that thats all the consideration they should be given when being sentenced
I mean of course they're entitled to more than thier victims, isnt that evolved society ????

Actually, they make conditions good because a crazy prisoner will turn violent. And TVs are added not as a luxury, but as a sedative.

Damn you... I had to Google poe's law
Poe's Law relates to fundamentalism, and the difficulty of identifying actual parodies thereof

Basically, you can't lampoon someones position (usually fundemantal christians, but it applies pretty much anywhere) without someone reading it as the poster being totally serious.

"LOL" how funny, Lucky for me I can be neutral and abuse all teams so it could be argued that it'd be no different to giving her a Liverpool shirt or an Ireland shirt since it'd be no different because when push comes to shove it doesn't matter what team you follow because you're all aggressive little brainless b******ds anyway so don't try to imply that football hooliganism is solely ristricted to Man U fans...
