    Can anyone here please help me. I was on my PC when it froze up. I turned it off at the power button but now when I try to turn it on this comes up. Thanks, Cian

    Boot up from your windows cd and choose recovery console.
    Then when you have a comand shell type chkdsk /f
    That should sort it out for you.

    If your registry has become corrupted try pressing F8 a few times just before the xp logo screen comes up. you will get a menu pick the last known good option at the bottom.

    If that fails try going into safe mode from the same menu and run a check on your disk.

    if that fails see the previous post!:o
