I'm looking for help on where the best place for a couple to stay in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. I'm probably asking a lot but looking for a place thats central, close to beach and strip, old town or new town not too bothered, sea view would be great, fairly private and wont break the bank... Been to Lanzarote a few times now and I love it.....
Any help would be much appreciated....

I stayed in Balcon Del Mar back in march that was good and cheap rooms were decent but it's not very central thats the only bad thing

    Hi mactayto,

I stayed in Lomo Blanco apts 2 times in the last few years and found them to be very good. They are in the middle of old + new town. They were relatively cheap at the time. Rooms are of a good(ish) standard. If you decide to go there then ask for an apt in Block B. This is the newer part of the complex. If you're lucky you will get one on either the 2nd or 3rd floor, which has reasonable view of the beach.

Only drawback is the hill and the steps up to it ! if you can get over that you will be fine.

If you wanna spend a few more euro then go for one of the fariones chain. They have the best location on the strip.

I use a website called www.tripadvisor.co.uk myself for checking out hotels. It's the bees knees !!

There's a small complex on the beach side near the casino called the Las Velazquez Bungalows - sea views, beautiful accommodation, great standard, close to the new town and the beach.

I love it there! It's one of the very few apartments that are on the beach side of the road - Falcon have them in their brochure.
