Who did you meet in the first interview, and who are you meeting this time? Did you meet your potential boss and HR person, and this time you're meeting the senior manager or something? What type of role are you going for?

A second interview is often where money and benefits are brought up, so think about what you want (though I'd always let them bring it up first).

here's a hint - turn up for the interview - I was interviewing for a post today and of the 10 candidates due to be interviewed, 4 never showed up - what the hell, are we not in a recession???? BTW, they didn't DECLINE the interview - they took the interview slot which really p***es me off - they took interview slots that people who actually wanted the job could have taken - btw, it was a year long secure job!!

I am shocked that those 4 people didn't show up. I'm looking for work and I'd be delighted for any interview at this stage.

OP, hope you weren't nervous for the second interview. I had one last week and think my nerves got the better of me.
