Satellites for the Poker Room Main Event

This Thursday 11th June the Poker room Celbridge will be hosting a satellite for the€200 + €20 Main Event.
There will be a satellite every Thursday up until the event on the Friday 3rd July.

Satellite Buy-In €10 starting stack 3,000
Re-buy €10 gets you 3,000
Top-Up gets you 5,000

Players are playing for a seat at the Poker Room Main Event.
One ticket for every €220 in the prize pool any remaining cash will go to the next place finisher.
There is no cash alternative.

100% of the prize pool will be paid on the night.

Free food and drink served with no cover charge.
The doors open at 7.30p.m and the tournament starts at 8.00p.m

This event is being run by the Poker Room and all events at this location are commercial unless otherwise stated.

All players must be at least 18 and be a member of the club (its free and easy all you need in photo I.D)
All tournaments are No-Limit Texas Hold’em unless otherwise stated.
Structures and starting stacks are set in relation to the size of the buy-in and may be amended or changed at the tournament director’s discretion. (We always make an effort to give maximum value for all our players.)
All tables are dealt to the highest standard.
Card room rules available on request (amended TDA rules in practice in the club)
As normal practice the Tournament Director / Floor person’s decision is final.

There is a €10 entry and a €10 rebuy tonight for the main event.

We guarantee one ticket regardless of runners. So if you show up and its just you and you give us €10 you would get a ticket.

1 ticket for every €220 collected. 100% payout minus €5 reg per player.

This is a very popular event and if you don't want the ticket i am sure you can sell it for face value.

I can get my head around the unlimited rebuys for as much as you want, but having unlimited top-ups at the break makes a bit of a mockery of the game imo

Its obviously done this way to ensure that there is more money in the prize pool to give you more tickets.

We don't make anything on it gives better players more value.

Hard to make a good Satalite for a small buy in game if you have a better idea for the future more than happy to consider it.

Hi Ross,

The unlimited add-ons was only announced about 15 minutes from the end of the rebuy period. I was aware of the unlimited rebuys but i expected there to be one add-on/top-up. If i had of known, i wouldn't have spend €30 on rebuys to get 9k chips 20 mins from the end, when all i had to do was sit on 1k chips and spend €30 to get 15k at the break.

I bought in for 6k, had 12k after 15 minutes so i would have just went for a few pints and came back and topped-up an extra 15k if i had of known. But i think that a double add-on is the most that should ever be offered.

I never played a satellite with antes before either, but i think that worked well. Made stealing a lot easier and forced some people to make moves earlier than they would had there been no antes.

The TD ran the tournament really well and updated the rebuys/players gone etc as soon as they happened which is getting rarer and rarer these days.
