Just back from Palma Nova, went to Palma, it's a great city but I'd say there are only about 3 salons I say that looked good.

One was near the catherdral on the financial side of the city and the other 2 were in the shopping area on the same street as Mango. Prices seemed close to here.

They didn't have a price list just special offers: highlights cut and style €80.

In Palma Nova there were about 10 'British Salons' but they looked as they were aimed at older British ex-pats.

Palma Nova was 25mins away from Palma but Cala Dor is 75 mins away so it may be worth while e-mailing the hotel for recommendations closer to the hotel.

I haven't stayed in Cala'd Or but visited it when I was in Majorca. It looks very nice, but I decided to get my hair cut before I went and opted for the real thing rather than a fake tan:D

There is a big marina in Cala' Dor with some pretty swanky yachts, so i would expect there to be beauty salons etc there to cater for the yachting crowd.

I think it is Majorca's Portabanus.

Thank you guys, sounds interesting! Will check it out, my idea was to maybe get my hair done out there before I come back but will wait and see. Maybe trying to explain what I want exactly might be a wee bit hard! At least my regular life saver of a hairdresser will work her wonders when I get home. I was told not to get my higlights (even though they do reealy need to be done) untill I get back because if I were to get them done before I go I would end up with straw for hair. Not such a good look! Cannot wait to get away anyway, saturday week to be precise! Hoping to nab myself a real tan as well, although this may involve endless hours on the beach, oh well! :D
