Rescue 115 came into the hospital this morning and as I was free I jumped on the bike and headed down to find the batteries in my camera dead. Low and behold, just for me :D:D:D, she came back this evening and here are some piccies.

Nice shots! Just out of curiosity do you know if the paramedics are part of the SAR crew or are they HSE employed paramedics with special training?

Hi Daragh aircrew are not HSE,most are ex Aer Corps/RN/RAF

recently they've started taking in ambulance crew to train as winchcrew (as the pool of ex-aer corps etc is getting smaller) but I think it's only been one guy so far? also when qualified they be leaving the HSE to work for CHC

Cool, thanks punchdrunk. I'm going to try and get a placement down there when I do my training!:D I hear they take in one or 2 EMT's every year,
