anyone know good hotel in copacabana, rio??

    will be in rio for new years, 29 Dec -03 Jan
    does anyone have any suggestions/reommendations for accommodation in copacabana? looking on the net but all are quite expensive - > €1000 for 5 nights!

    Hotel Pria Lido on Copacabana Avenue was good value when we stayed there... it's a little retro but good location, breakfast etc. Free WiFi too .. which is rare in Rio.

    Across the road is an amazing Lebanese restaurant that's cheapest and some of the best food around - Amir I think it's called. Definitely try it out.
