Fuschia dress- what colour shoes go though?

Im off to a wedding in Prague next week, got my dress, a nice plain fuschia colour, now Im torn between which shoes to get.

My friend says white or cream, to really set the outfit off.

Ive seen the exact match of the colour of the dress in two shoe shops, but Im afraid having too much of the one colour will look bland?

Any ideas? Teal, Black/ Fuschia?

Purple though maybe thats a bit obvious and done to death? Teal sounds nice, wouldn't have thought of that.

I was gonna say cream try to avoid anything white as its supposed to be rude and seen as an attempt to upstage the bride. Of course if you have your eye on a pair that are the same colour as the dress i would go with that as you can wear them again to make a plain black dress pop!

Hey... Im delighted to get some perspective on this.

I saw the Cameron Diaz picture but shes blonde and Im black haired, and it could look quite trashy.. I will look for a perfect pair though.

I definitely do not want to wear black shoes to a wedding in Prague. I actually brought a silver pair of heels dress shopping with me and they make the dress look very cheap, hence why Im soooo confused.

However! Fuschia dress & fuschia heels, with teal bag and jewellery! Sounds like a combo to me!

This is the exact colour, although Coast call it Camelia.. Silver looks poor with it.

I think gold would look really good, and you can't really go wrong with black.

No to teal, that would look awful imo. So 80s!

That's a good idea, yuo can get the dress out and compare the colours.

There are so many various shades of every colour, you never know what will look well with it!

Thanks for all your replies, Saturday morning, Im hitting town with the dress in tow and going to try on plenty of shoes - going to try everywhere Mary Street - Ilac, Pennys, Roches, Arnotts, etc.. anywhere with a changing room that does clothes and shoes so I can get a proper idea of what I want.

This is going to be bloody tough! I'll post a pic when I have them Saturday with dress so you can all see the result.

As a previous poster mentioned bronze might look good,bit of a variation on the gold.

Also maybe try on different styles of shoes in the same colour? such as teal shoes in both courts and strappy sandals because one might look much better than the other once teamed with the dress?

im a bridesmaid for a wedding next month and we're wearing fushia dresses and shoes and their gorgeous. Got the shoes in Barretts, theyre platform so give great height and cushioned. 55 euro at the moment.:)

I love fuchsia and orange together. My bedroom was fuchsia with orange accessories for a long time. But I'm not so sure that orange shoes are a great idea. Are they even widely available? You're narrowing your choices down quite a bit anyway with orange. They have a few on ASOS to give you an idea of what they look like.

I would go with the turqouise as Spadina said or the green like jos28 suggested, both would look fab but for the shoes I would stay clear of anything chunky that has loads of green or turquoise because it might cheapen the dress!! I would stick with thin straps! For accessories I would stick with a feature neck piece in the turquoise or green but go without earrings!! Wearing both again might be a bit much!!
Another colour which would also look good imo would be pale pink!!

Thats exactly what I wanted! Your my saving grace, they have a pair size 6 on hold for me in Liffey Valley AND theres a 20% discount on them from their sale. Thanks so much, I googled I dont know how many different combinations and didnt get those shoes.

My OH is 6ft something so I need to be tall, the platforms work because the dress is just fuschia and no other details.
