warhawk in 1080 hd

have top spec sony bravia lcd tv, just noticed on the back of warhawk game it says 720/960/1080. but when i play it it only plays in 720 rsolution. All my blue-ray films are 1080 so iknow its set up correct. How come warhawk wont go to 1080? Thanks

Thats because most PS3 Games only have a resolution of 720p,although I thought it would upscale to 1080p if available?

This happens in quite a lot of games. The truth is it will probably play better if left in 720p. If you really want to play it in 1080p then go into display settings on the xmb, and then to video output settings, and choose to set your resolution manually. Turn on 1080p but turn off 1080i and 720p. Warhawk should then run in 1080p... but... if you play another game which does not support 1080p the resolution will go back to 540p.
