Surprisingly good rock guitar I thought.......

Still a bit pricy for an epiphone though me thinks.....

Anyone got one/played one/ reckon there is better lp alikes on the market for the money (800 approx)

dude if you have a budget of 800 notes maybe you should go for a Gibbo? You should be able to pick up a nice studio for a bit less actually and better resale value alos if you ever get tired of the LP shape and weight :)

Actually used to have a LP Studio and thought it was a bit of a plank tbh, sold it on sharpish y'know....

I am actually not really in the market for a lester, (besides I have a Tokai LC85S which I think is a great axe), but just saying I was pleasantly surprised by the epi and was wondering what other folk thought of it

You'd be able to get an LTD Eclipse with 24 frets and EMG's for that money.

As for Epiphones, I own an LP and an SG and there both outstanding guitars that didnt cost the earth. I put Der Jung tuners and Gibbo pickups on the LP, the SG's tuners are Grover so theyre fine.

Yep. His birth name was Lester Polsfuss, so that's why some people call the guitars Lesters. ;)

Edwards is an established alternative if you want the traditional LP style guitar.

The slash LP you tried is still only a cheaper version of the original Slash signature Gibson LP that was released last year.It cost around 2k as far as i know.
Im going to london this weekend for the international music show so will check one out then if i get a chance.
