JSA Agent House Visit

hey,

i signed on for JSA there today, and was told an agent would be calling out to my house within the next 4 working days...do i have to just sit in my house for the rest of the week? i was planning on going up home (up north) to visit my folks...but would be back on thursday...anyone any experience of how long it takes them to come out?

They usually inform you by letter of the date so i'd imagine you'd be ok but hm :S wait for xiney/someone else to reply because they're more knowledgeable

I think the letter might be if it's not within the next few days.

I think you may have to stick around home, since otherwise that might be counted as vacation time.

You signed on, as in once a month thing, and they mentioned that an agent would be along, or you applied and they told you an agent would be along in 4 days?

yeah, they came the next morning!! said they were in the neighbourhood!!

have gotten my social welfare card since...but no notification of where/when i can get my JSA money...hopefully get somethin by next week!

ps: signed on as in registered for the first time...

Hey, I'll have someone from the health center calling to my house sometime in the next few weeks to do a means test for SWA - can you tell me what they actually do?

hey, i'm not sure if it'll be different if they are coming from the health centre...but the guy who came to do mine, had another man he was 'training'...basically they just make sure that's where u live...then they fill out forms, asking you questions along the way (i.e. how much rent you pay, how much money you have in any account/bonds etc.) can't remember really anything else they did...they had photocopies of everything they took from me in the office.

Thanks yeah it's the exact same means test they use for JSA. I already gave them all the documents they need. Hopefully they won't need anything else±

Thats madness. I signed on 8 weeks ago and I cant even get them to answer a call. I got no letter in the post from these people.
