More than half the tickets available for public sale for the Paris 2010 Heineken Cup final at Stade de France on Saturday, 22 May, 2010 have been sold already - almost a year ahead of the showpiece occasion.
Advance sales for the final of the 15th season of European club rugby’s premier tournament have topped 30,000 just over a fortnight after being made available for public purchase. Demand for tickets is unprecedented for what is the first final in France since 2001.

The public sale allocation for the Paris final is approximately 55,000 tickets while ERC retains a further 15,000 to be shared between the two finalists clubs.

Tickets are priced between 18 and 120 Euros and may be subject to booking fees.

Pretty interesting, tickets are flying out the door. Would be interested to know where they're all going?? Is it the Leinster / Munster buzz still in the air from this season, or are the French getting excited about hosting the event and are clammering for tickets?? I would hope the French were getting involved in snapping up tickets and getting into the European game.

    p.s. I've a feeling it's going to be a Leinster v Munster final.

Call me getting carried away, but for some reason I just have a feeling.

I've got my tickets anyway!! :p

I dont really agree with them selling tickets this early. It prevents the fans of the teams involved getting tickets after the lineup is decided.

Think it's fair enough to sell some tickets - allows it to sell out even with a poorly sorted combination, but that a larger number should be held back for the clubs involved.

Of course if you're the greatest supporters in the world, then it doesn't matter cos you'll go to the final no matter who's playing.
