I'm thinking of going to Thailand for a month . Ive checked Usit and all there flights out of Ireland seem expensive .Would I be correct in saying that booking a flight from London to Thailand is alot cheaper . Any ideas ?

Etihad, Swiss, Turkish Airlines, Air France and Lufthansa all fly to both Dublin Airport and Bangkok - have you tried their direct websites? In my experience Etihad and Turkish have been the cheapest. Any flights booked where one leg of the journey is codeshare through another airline tend to be more expensive.

If you booking on price alone and you don't mind longer transit times and collecting your luggage yourself at each transit airport or having to transit at more than one airport you may find flights from London, Amsterdam, Paris or Frankfurt cheaper still. For example the cheapest you'll probably get is Air Asia X from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur and from there it's only a short hop to Bangkok...
