    Hi All,

We've started a gentle "on-ramp" course at CF Ireland that I wanted to share with you.

The Essentials Course is a 12-part, 6 week introduction to the movements and methods we use as part of CrossFit. Each class we introduce a new movement (e.g. Front Squat, Push Press, Kipping Pull Ups), and participants then go through a light workout with the movement to reinforce the pattern.

For some people, jumping straight into a rigorous exercise program can be too much, and our aim is to spend the course really dialling in the technique of the movements. Once this is achieved, then the intensity can be ramped up to suit the needs/desires of the individual.

This course would suit people who've been out of exercise for a while, or are completely new to it and want to get a feel for proper, safe form to ensure they get the most out of exercise.

If anyone's interested in a trial session please feel free to PM me. We'll also offer a discount off the price of the Essentials course to boards.ie readers.

    Thanks,
    Colm

(Hope this is okay BossArky, feel free to edit if needs be)

    Hey,

I have seen this course and my dad is taking part in it. He is 61, but dont let him know I told you that :D. Its going great for him. He can now skip which he really loves and finds great fun now. I think I have a video of him doing it that I might throw up,

He has talked to me alot about the gym and finds the "banter gas craic....." and works alot harder than he would in any other gym. I have seen the rise in confidence and attitude from my dad and its brilliant. He went running the other evening too, nearly a km unbroken and he is not far off 17 stone,

Its a great atmosphere and lots of fun and I would advise anyone looking for a very efficent and cost affective way of getting in shape to give Colm a PM.
