Professional Audio Quote Needed

    Hi all,

MOD - If this isn't the right forum for this please feel free to move it.

Long story short is I need to get a parts and labour quote to have a major re-fit of the audio system in my 02 Audi TT done. I 'live' in the car so does that count as "home entertainment"? :D

The job entails removal of the existing Bose amp and wiring loom and installation of a new Bose amp and wiring loom to a Sony headset using the appropriate harness, set up of the headset (make sure it's set up and configured properly) and disposal of the old amp and wiring loom.

I'm based in south Dublin. Can anyone here recommend the best people to talk to about this? I want a reputable professional. Please feel free to PM me if you want to.

    Ben

I can't help you out with your main aim, but am slightly curious as to what you are trying to achieve

Are you trying to improve the overall quality of the sound in the car?

Most definetly. At the moment the Bose amp is blown and the original wiring is totally butchered!!

Ah, that makes sense. Upgrading amps and head units would usually lead to very little, if any, improvement in sound quality. Upgrading speakers is usually the best path to improving sound quality.

No recomendations at all? Is there that much of a gap in the market?

I'd say this is not in the most appropriate place - Home Entertainment and ICE are fairly different. Moving to Motors, you might have better luck getting a recommendation from the good citizens there.

Cartroncis in Santry are good car ICE specialists, I'm sure they can quote for something like this.

A mod edited my post to remove the details (not sure why? - I'm guessing it might have been the fact that I quoted a phone number???) anyway, his name is Derek Burdock and he's in the GoldenPages (www.goldenpages.ie) he's also listed here: http://www.mytown.ie/town147,walkinstown/47,security/0/business-listing.html
