Looks far more action orientated than the first one, or at least what the trailer alludes to. I'm not sure about this, I'm generally wary of sequels, and from what they show us it looks like watching someone else play a videogame. What was great about the first film was that it really got the audience into the experience, because the characters seemed very believable. I hope's more to the sequel than just the action; good characters, dialogue and the tension of the first one.

So yeah, kinda half-excited about this one.

Three more teaser clips here, http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/31997/three-clips-rec-2

They're only 18 seconds each but give you a good idea what to expect (sh*tting pants tension!).

First was outstanding and hope this one can live up to it. Have to admit I haven't seen the US remake (Quarantine).

Hmmmm, looks decent but then again so did the first one and I dont think Ive ever been more disappointed with any movie as I was with that.

Will still check it out though as continental Europe is streets ahead of the US in terms of its horror output.

With having just watched Drag me to Meh, I wholeheartedly agree with you! (Although Asian Horror>European Horror>USA Horror)

Asian horror has become a bit of a cliche if you ask me,its either trying to be creepy a la Ringu, the Eye etc or trying to be a category 3 shocker.

Europe on the other hand is quite fresh in whats happening.Over the last few years we've had from

    France
    Inside
    Ils
    Martyrs

    Norway
    Cold Prey

    Sweden
    Let the right one in

    Spain
    The Orphanage
    Aftermath
    Genesis

    Germany
    Cannibal
Olaf Ittenbach's Dard Divorce looks kick ass too.

You're probably gonna hate me for this (and so sorry that this is going kinda off topic (REC 2 looks amazing.... :D), but this film bored the living shee-ite out of me!

I know it was meant to be slow and artistic (I do have the patience for those sort, like the original Solaris) but it was a twisted love story and not a horror at all. I didn't feel like there was anything to genuinely be scared about! It was real "cutesy". Also, as a side note I didn't read the book.

Also terrible SFX! It jumped the shark for me when
yer one got attacked by the very bad CGI cats.

Oh I agree its not a masterpiece by any means but compared to Saw 128, Friday the 13th remake and all the other crap American horror its pretty good.

    As for CGI,meh.
I hate it with a passion and believe it has no real place in horror movies but thats just me.

Should we expect a Quarantine 2 teaser soon too?
