    :)hi everyone myself and 2 friends have managed to put together 1000 euro to get a real good friend a triumph stag ,our friend would love a car that he could restore from start to finish .and if you could help us with the surprise we would be very thankfull

    Pity, I knew of a fairly solid one that when fairly cheaply last week. Will keep an eye out.

    You won't get much of a stag for a grand. We bought one in London a few years ago for 1500 stg and that was a full bare metal restoration, with plenty of welding required. Given that irish prices tend to be higher than UK, i reckon €1000 will only get you an absolute dog.

    the man we want to buy it for worked on cars for years ,restored one when he lived in england ,he is restoring mine at the moment ,brains
